Nestled amongst fields we are in a lovely tranquil setting just 10 minutes drive north of Alnwick, 10 minutes drive to Bamburgh and Seahouses, and 30 minutes drive south of Holy Island, so ideally located for guests to explore the Castles and Coastline of Northumberland and enjoy a quiet and peaceful retreat. This recent conversion of the old stone built Granary at Wandylaw Farm Steadings has been finished to exceptionally high standards. Our detached home has 3 contemporary guest rooms which offer luxury, comfort and genuine Northumbrian hospitality.The Garden Room is ground floor with its own private easy access and parking, en-suite with shower, Villeroy and Boch sanitary ware, soft close toilet, bathrobes and slippers and also has a sunroom with sofa and table and chairs opening onto the patio and south facing walled garden. Fantastic views over fields to Bamburgh Castle, the Farne Islands and Holy Island to the front and from the garden. Free WiFiCastle View is a large room with mahogany king sleigh bed, sofa, table and chairs and spectacular views of Bamburgh Castle and the Northumbrian coastline from Beadnell right up to Holy Island. En-suite with shower, Villeroy and Boch soft close toilet, hishers sinks, bathrobes and slippers. Free WiFiThe Snug has a king bed, table and chairs and ensuite with bath and shower above, Villeroy and Boch soft close toilet, bathrobes and slippers with lovely views of the walled garden and surrounding countryside. There are two pubs within 3 miles, The White Swan at Warenford which serves food every lunch and evening and has an AA Rossette and The Pack Horse at Ellingham (we have sample menus for you to look at) If you need a taxi, we recommend Gordan, our local friendly reliable taxi driver who will be pleased to take you wherever you wish to go.BREAKFAST! We have a generous breakfast menu including Smoked Salmon and Scrambled Eggs (all of our eggs are totally free range from our own happy hens), Craster Kippers, Omelettes and of course Full English Breakfast with Carters Butchers Award Winning Bamburgh Banger sausages, home cured back bacon, black pudding, field mushrooms, roasted tomatoes, Heinz baked beans and our own free range eggs, freshly brewed tea and filter coffee (or decaff if you prefer) as well as vegetarian options. We are very easy to find ! Our postcode is NE67 5HG, however we are a new farm conversion so if your navigation system can't find us, please follow the directions below or ring me, Andrea Barber on 01665 589155 or 07748 965 975 for any help ! TRAVELLING NORTH ON THE A1: 10 miles North of Alnwick the A1 becomes single carrigeway just after the Ellingham turnoff. After 1 mile you will see the Wandylaw signpost on the A1. Turn left and go up the hill for 34 mile. At the first house you see, turn left and follow the road round and The Granary is the first house on the left with seven stone arches. Please park in the drive and the front door is the third arch with plant pots outside it. If you have any trouble finding us, please call Andrea Barber on 01665 589155 or 07748 965 975. TRAVELING SOUTH ON THE A1: Approx 6 miles South of Belford you will see the Wandylaw sign on the A1 (If you get to the dual carriageway near Ellingham you have gone to far !)
