Shepherds Dene is an Edwardian country home, in the arts and crafts style, full of character and original features. Set in secluded countryside in the Tyne Valley near Corbridge, it is only 30 minutes from Newcastle upon Tyne, Step back in time and enjoy all the comforts you would expect of country house living but with all the modern facilities you need for a meeting or conference as well. The house is set in a 20 acre country estate lovingly maintained as an Edwardian country garden. Walk the labyrinth, explore the woodlands, play croquet on the lawn or just curl up with a book in a deckchair. We offer home cooking and use local suppliers. Our cakes and biscuits are renown. Then retire to a a well stocked bar and sample our range of malt whiskies. Shepherds Dene prides itself in offering peace and quiet for guests who want to get from it all. It is run as a Retreat House offering Christian hospitality to guests of all faiths and none.

Five minute drive from the junction of A68. A69 and A695.Take A695 to the west end of Riding Mill village then turn immediately left uphill on the Slaley Road. Shepherds Dene is 1 mile on the left. Frequent bus and train services to Riding Mill from where guests can be collected by prior arrangement.
